Sacred Earth Ministry Mission Statement

Sacred Earth Ministers are Earth Healers.  They honor Creator through honoring Creation.  In a multitude of ways, they serve the Earth and all who live and breathe on Her.  They uplift Humanity through teaching, healing, counseling and holding ceremony.  They allow their lives and their ministries to be guided by Creator in whatever form Creator is known to them.  The Sacred Earth Ministry is an interfaith ministry, recognizing and supporting all Paths to love, healing, unity, and wholeness for the individual and for the world.

 

Sacred Earth Ministry Application Process

Application to the Ministerial Training Program consists of completion of a written application and an informal interview with a member of the Council of the Sacred Earth Center.  Acceptance for ordination consists of completion of the Ministerial Training Program and an informal interview with the whole Council of the Sacred Earth Center.  Contact Rev. Sacred Earth Ministry Training and Ordination Process

Part A.  Completion of all of the following classes:

          Opening the Shaman’s Door – an introductory discussion of Shamanic Practice

          Shamanic Journeying for Personal Guidance and Healing

          Shamanic Journeying on Behalf of the Community

          Introduction to Spiritual Counseling

          Sacred Relationship

          Thriving in Changing Times

          Expressing Our Spirituality – Ceremony, Prayer, Creative Expression, Nature

 

Part A begins September of 2011 and ends in May of 2012.  The class will meet once monthly from 11:00am to 4:00pm.  The dates will be determined by the class participants.  The cost is $75 per class, which includes lunch.  The class will be facilitated by Sacred Earth ministers David and Sunemaura O’Brien, with additional Sacred Earth ministers taking part from time to time.

 

Part B.  Choose one of the following two trainings.  The hours vary as do costs:

 Spiritual Healing – Reiki for a New World Levels One and Two – 12 hours and 16 hours.  The cost for Level One is $160. The class meets 6 times for 2 hours.  The cost for Level Two is $220.  The class meets 8 times for 2 hours. The tuition may be paid in payments of $30 per meeting.  The class usually takes place on a one to one basis and is facilitated by Sunemaura O’Brien. 

 Spiritual Healing – Earth Spirit Healing – Approx 48 hours (Opening the Shaman’s Door and both Shamanic Journeying classes are included in Earth Spirit Healing.)  The cost is $10 per class hour.  The class is facilitated by David and Sunemaura O’Brien.

Other training may be accepted in lieu of the above trainings.  List such training on your application and/or discuss it in your interview.

Part A and Part B may be pursued simultaneously.
